Born in Newcastle in the early 60’s, Martin spent most of the 70’s attending St Cuthbert’s Grammar, and joined the bathroom industry via Crossling in 1981. After marrying Amanda and starting their family with Rebecca and Charlotte, Martin became Sales Manager with bathroom brand Showerlux. Three more children arrived and the decision was made to open h2o in 2003. Away from the showroom Martin supports local football teams and h2o are proud sponsors of Whitley Bay FC.

Charlotte started in the bathroom industry on the weekend team at 14 years old and now runs the design and installation teams within h2o, she is fully conversant on the Virtual Worlds bathroom design CAD package. Charlotte enjoys spending time with her daughters Bella & Betty and husband Jamie, and sampling local restaurants in Whitley Bay and Newcastle.

Sam Kelly

Like his sisters, Sam first started in the family business on a weekend, quickly developing a skill for CAD design and knowledge of the products h2o has to offer. Alongside his role as a designer and retail sales, Sam also studied Biomedical Sciences BSc, receiving an honours degree. Sam has a large client base specialising in high end luxury specifications and dedicates a lot of time to assisting with the overall design and interiors on the project. This leaves a small amount of spare time which he spends socialising with friends.

Martha joined h2o in 2013 working on a Saturday before moving to her full time role the following year. She progressed further with her education by achieving an Advanced apprenticeship & level 3 diploma in business and admin. Working alongside Denise in accounts, she also looks after the daily running of the office and showroom. Martha enjoys spending time with family and husband Richard, and their new addition George who arrived in Summer 2022.

Denise has over 30 years experience within the bathroom industry ranging from Sales to Administration; her key role is the daily running of the accounts side of the company along with her colleague Martha. Outside of the showroom Denise enjoys socialising, exercising, travelling and spending quality time with her family.

David Thompson
Warehouse Manager

On leaving school in 1990, Dave joined Vickers Armstrong Engineering and then 8 years on, a printing press at a print and design Company. Following 2 years travelling and working in Holland and Spain from 2000-2002, Dave was a nationwide courier before joining the team at h2o in 2010 as warehouse manager and delivery driver. A keen traveller, he has visited most of Europe including Greek islands such as Skiathos and many parts of Asia such as Thailand and India.
